Draping Project

 

This halter dress with a circular skirt is the final project for my draping class. Designing a feminine and modern dress was my goal in making this garment. Although the dress looks like a two piece garment, it is only one piece. In this project the first and the most challenging step was making a pattern on the mannequin by using the draping method. After creating the final pattern and doing all the adjustments the pattern pieces were ready to be used for cutting the final fabric and sewing process.
